I spend a lot of time figuring out how systems actually work underneath the interface — and I usually learn the most by accidentally breaking something first. That’s meant decoding maritime weather charts and aircraft datalinks over HF radio using remote SDR nodes, digging into why GNSS chipsets lock onto satellites faster or slower than they should, reviving a decade-old Android tablet with a custom ROM built from a single forum thread, and reverse-engineering the NFC access card my university issued me after I accidentally bricked it. None of this started as expertise — it started as a question I couldn’t let go of. Along the way I’ve picked up a working understanding of RF propagation, embedded systems, mobile OS internals, and the security (or lack of it) baked into everyday access-control systems. Always looking for the next black box to open.
