About

There is always a new way to do things; easy, better and a creative path to take. Seeking those paths has always been my thing. And I believe that technology is that thing, that new path. So I keep looking for newer ways to implement complex technologies, mainly through the use of computers. Wouldn’t it be fun to play with complex and creative technologies!

  • Owned full-stack development of Cart, Checkout, and Order Management for Shutterfly’s e-commerce platform (hybrid Rails + Next.js frontend and Ruby on Rails orchestration middleware), handling 20,000+ orders and 674,000+ API requests daily at 659ms p95 latency with a 0.00% error rate.
  • Built core CartAPI endpoints from scratch – including verifycc, placeorder, and orderdetails – powering payment verification, order placement, and order-status retrieval across the checkout flow.
  • Designed and published an internal Ruby gem for Cognito JWT authentication, standardizing token validation across the cart orchestration layer and downstream service clients (Payment, Shipping, Order Placer, Accounts).
  • Root-caused a recurring spike in PayPal payment failures by systematically ruling out SDK load and browser-compatibility issues, tracing the true cause to ISP/corporate-firewall and device-level restrictions blocking the PayPal SDK; replaced generic error logs with specific, categorized error messages, significantly cutting future triage time.
  • Collaborated with a 3-engineer team to build the SlideIn Cart microfrontend, letting users view and manage cart contents via a slide-out panel from any page without full navigation.
  • Authored Playwright-based crawl scenarios for cart and checkout page flows as part of a company-wide CCPA/CPRA cookie-consent audit, capturing cookie and network-request data used for compliance reporting.
