I’m Smriti Singh, based in Hyderabad, with an engineering background and over six years of experience across different domains. I’m currently pursuing my fourth semester of a distance M.Tech in Applied AI at VNIT Nagpur. Most recently, I worked as a Product Operations Consultant in EdTech. I’m now transitioning into AI product management through the NextLeap Product Management Fellowship, alongside self-study in AI and product management. I’ve taught myself about generative AI and participated in all three cohorts of the Google Gen AI APAC program. As part of that learning, I built a prototype for an AI-powered personal journal. It helps people store personal information securely using tools such as Firebase. I’m exploring how to develop the journal further into a personal memory and retrieval system one that could help people recall what matters to them and, when they choose, share memories or seek guidance from friends, family, or mentors. I’m especially interested in designing any mental-health-related support thoughtfully and responsibly. I’m also participating in Google JPAC. My main technical interest is neurosymbolic AI and graph AI. I’m interested in how knowledge graphs could support better computer science and AI learning experiences. I believe AI should complement children’s intelligence, not replace their thinking. Children are naturally creative; learning tools should help them explore ideas within thoughtful boundaries rather than simply complete assignments or projects for them. I see a lot of potential in building AI tools that encourage curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning.
