Surendra Varikallu

I'm a final-year B.Tech Computer Science student and full-stack developer focused on building reliable, scalable web platforms and practical AI-powered applications. I built Skillnox, an online assessment and coding contest platform that recorded zero failed requests across 146,045 requests during a 5,000-virtual-user k6 stress test. Through iterative performance optimization, I reduced P99 latency from a 60-second timeout to 17 ms. I also developed Skillnox AI, a multi-round interview simulator powered by a locally hosted Qwen model using FastAPI and Ollama, and KITAGhire.in, a training and placement portal supporting college placement workflows for 3,000+ users. My technical interests include backend engineering, full-stack development, system design, performance optimization, authentication and security, and AI/LLM integration. I work with React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and related technologies. I won first place at the Codegnan Elevate X Hackathon with Global Smile and third place at the KITS Akshar CSE Department Hackathon with StudentConnect. I also served as a Google Student Ambassador, conducting technical workshops and growing a campus developer community. I'm interested in Software Development Engineer, backend, full-stack, and applied AI opportunities, and I'm open to relocating across India.
